bow time!

february 20 - 26

this week officially marks thirteen weeks until the big day. (yay!) and that means that from now until, each week will be dedicated to one of my special girls. i'm not quite sure what is to be expected during this special week, but just know that i am broke and busy and this little blog post is only a speck of what i wish i could do for each of you. now... onto the sweet bow! drumroll please. she deserves a grand entrance.

it's LEE LOUISE! i think this is such a beautiful picture of her. (lee, don't get too mad. no one reads this blog anyway.)

let me just tell you how it all began. lets drift back in time to ole magnolia. 1747 bryant drive holds many memories for this girl and myself. we were friends before, but nothing could have brought us closer than this old house. and it just happens to be where these two lovebirds fell head over heels for each other... with which i credit myself for this little happening.

never in a million years could i ask for a better friend, roommate, nurse, or matron of honor. after a year in magnolia we decided we were meant to be and became roommates. it was so much fun... just me and lee, little liz and her sweet, rambunctious brother milo. and of course the occasional nick and kyle, but this worked out perfectly because they are best men!

she is the very best mother and aunt a dog could ask for. she may not be good at caring for plants, but when it comes to sweet puppies, i couldn't ask for a better baby sitter. when i was in hawai'i she took such good care of little liz for a whole week. 3 dogs. one house. i think i owe her a thank you.

you can't help but love her. she tells it how it is in the sweetest southern drawl ever heard. and man can she sing. i will never hear somewhere over the rainbow the same again.

this week was her birthday and i am so sad i didn't get to spend it with her. i'm pretty sure kyle and bta took good care of her, but she better not forget who made her cupcakes when she got off work at 11pm and made her blow out candles last year. maybe we will get to celebrate together one day soon.

i really think i have the prettiest friends ever. i've been jealous of lee's hair since the day i met her. she has some other good features too, but she knows what i'm talking about.

i'm such a lucky girl. seriously. in the past few weeks lee has planned an oh so amazing bachelorette trip for me at chateau elan north of atlanta. i know how busy she is with school right now and living the newlywed life, so i'm sure the last thing on her mind is a bachelorette weekend, but somehow she has pulled everything together beautifully!

i love this girl with all of my heart and can't even begin to tell her how thankful i am for her.

happy birthday lee louise!

baby liam is almost here!

a sweet friend from high school is having a baby! (well, baby liam has arrived now, but for the sake of the blog let's pretend he isn't here yet!)
victoria and i have been friends since before i can remember. it's hard to believe that we are all grown up. her with a baby... me with a dog. (just kidding.)
it was so exciting to throw her a little baby shower. kensey and i worked super hard to make it perfect even though i'm sure it was lacking in more than a few areas. we tend to be a little unorganized and unfocused, but i think we did a pretty good job if i do say so myself.
turquoise and lime were the colors of the day.

have you ever made tissue paper balls? they are super easy and make a huge difference when trying to make something festive.

mason jars, blue punch, and green hydrangeas created a pretty table without being girly

vic doesn't even look pregnant. and i made her take the picture by the table.

pretty girls!

ally and jill

presents galore!

ally made liam some outfits. he's gonna be stylin'!

bri is married. so is jill. i am close behind. vic is having a BABY! ken is going to italy! sarah is all graduated and miss independent. and ally is going to be the best lawyer in alabama! sweet friends. hate we aren't together more often! i can't believe that we are old. it all happened so fast!

engagement party.

our first party as "fiances" was hosted at my stepgrandmother's gorgeous home in winfield (in november... i'm a little late on this post too. i told you i was playing catch up!) dana, mimi, and ann elizabeth hosted what was such a fun and special night (and i must add that it was all put together in just a couple of weeks, amazing what these girls pulled off!). all of our closest friends and family joined us to celebrate and eat some of the most delicious treats ever created. our "dessert" party couldn't have been more perfect. my dad even gave a little speech which is more out of the ordinary than you can even imagine. it meant so much that everyone came together in honor of us. i remember feeling so loved when we left that night. i just couldn't thank everyone enough for being there. i think it was lee who said "well beth, did you think nobody was gonna come?!"  it was just overwhelming to see all of these people and realize that they were there because they love nick and me.

here are a few pics of the fabulous night with even more fabulous people!
